I like the few screenshots shown here. ESPN’s top level navigation has been terrible for a while. Looks like they plan on cutting the number of links in half. The updated search engine is a must; I’ve never understood why they have such bad site search.
Hopefully they’ll get rid of the auto-play homepage video. If that gets the axe, I’ll be moving back to ESPN from CBS...

Going Pro
I received a great present today from my friend Amber Hopkins. She works for Tor Books and sent me a box full of classic Sci-Fi novels. I’ve always enjoyed Isaac Asimov, Douglas Adams, Kurt Vonnegut, and was raised on Robert Heinlein’s junior novels, but I’ve never branched out from those authors.
Thanks to Amber I’ll try and shed my amateur geek status, starting tonight...
