I could have used any platform to start my first blog. I chose tumblr because:

1) It’s easy to use. Total time to set up was roughly 10 minutes.
2) My brother Napoleon has used tumblr for a while now and I like the way his looks.
3) I’m not sure how much time I plan on dedicating to blogging. Tumblr is low maintenance.
4) I think I will want to blog from my phone.
5) I subscribe to Fred Wilson’s blog. He’s a fan (and investor) and I often end up liking services he likes.
