Yahoo, CBS, and ESPN should be worried about people like me.  Their fantasy sports users are going to be plucked away by companies such as CHALQ (of which I am a co-founder) that don’t have to worry about being shut down for not paying outrageous liscensing fees to Leagues for the use of player names.  This was a significant barrier to entry for start up companies.

Fantasy players are going to benefit from new companies and their users bringing in fresh ideas to an industry in need of innovation.  Open API? Social Networking?  Online draft anytime?  Free stats? Comprehensive wiki Almanac?
