I just finished up my first MLB fantasy draft and have been thinking about overvalued players.  Here is my all bust team.  Just hitters.

C - Jorge Posada - Last Season was amazing, but completely uncharacteristic of his entire career. 

1B - Carlos Pena - Last years stats came out of no where, particularly the 46 HR’s.  He was drafted late in my league over the weekend; I think most people have the same feeling I do.

2B - Ian Kinsler - This is tougher…mainly because there aren’t many productive second basemen.  I think Kinsler will be the least productive of the upper tier at 2B.

3B - Mike Lowell - I drafted him too so I hope I am wrong. He’s been fairly consistent his entire career and pulled 120 RBI’s and a .324 AVG out of no where in 2007.  I think 80-95 RBI’s and .285 AVG is more likely this season. 

SS - Rafael Furcal - It would have really been something if I had picked this last season but I’ll bet that he continues his slide to being irrelevant in fantasy leagues.  He is still a top base stealer (25 in 2007) but hurts you in nearly ever other category.  Plus he is drunk right now.

OF - Magglio Ordonez - See Jorge Posada.

OF - Vladmir Guerrero - He moves so awkwardly around the basepaths it makes my back hurt.  He stopped the 5 year decline in OPS last season, but continued to slide in power categories and stole only 2 bases. 

OF - Chris Young - I struck out Chris Young twice when writing this sentence.
