Watching Ted Kennedy at the DNC

My brother and I watched Ted Kennedy speak at the DNC tonight and I started doing some searches on him. I wanted to read up on the Mary Jo Kopechne accident and went to this Wikipedia article. It’s funny though because when I originally read the entry the intro looked like this. Big difference between being killed by Ted Kennedy and a car accident involving Ted Kennedy.

Regardless, I saw a bunch of younger people around my age cheering fervently during his speech, and wondered if they knew this story. I talked to a few of my friends and a couple had never heard of it. The Wikipedia article describes the incident as more damning towards Kennedy then I had remembered. Sounds pretty sketchy.
