Take a quick look at this box score.  There are no misprints there.  Navy did not attempt a single pass all game and beat SMU by four touchdowns (they missed an XP). The SMU offense was completely useless in Annapolis where it rained all game and the winds were swirling.  It at least raises some interesting questions about the Run & Shoot offense that June Jones has implemented.

With no reliable running back and an OL that is strong in pass blocking but dismal at run blocking, I think SMU can expect to lose any game under conditions similar to this Saturday’s.

On the bright side, SMU’s struggling pass defense completely shut down Navy’s wide outs allowing 0 receptions.  That bumped them up to 105 out of 119 in total pass D.
