Is it common for parents to track their kids online activity?  Not just the sites they visit, but the conversations they have?  I can’t imagine my parents trying to control my email account growing up, or snooping around my ICQ chat logs.  Hopefully kids will learn how to get this software off their computer.  In fact, I’d like to see if there is a company that would run a check on your computer (like anti-virus software) to see if your parents are fucking spies.
